Archery Tag is an action-packed mix of dodgeball and archery—a safe, high-energy combat game that’s perfect for both kids and adults. It’s a crowd favorite at birthday parties, corporate events, team-building activities, and more across Riverside, San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, and the rest of The Inland Empire.

Instead of paintballs or Nerf darts, players shoot foam-tipped arrows at opponents in a fast-paced team competition. You get all the adrenaline of competitive play—without the mess!

We offer two types of arrows to fit your group:

• High-impact arrows – Great for corporate events, bachelor parties, and adult groups (ages 18+).

• Low-impact arrows – Designed for kids’ birthday parties and younger players, ensuring safety while keeping the excitement alive.

Archery Tag is an exciting and dynamic activity that requires skill and coordination, which is why it’s essential for all participants to learn how to shoot an arrow before jumping into the action. This is the number one rule to ensure everyone has the most enjoyable experience during the game.

At Airballing IE, we start every Archery Tag session with a 15-minute archery practice to ensure all participants feel comfortable with their equipment and the basics of shooting before diving into the games.

Once everyone is familiar with firing arrows and running while shooting, we kick off a variety of exciting combat archery games. These games are designed to keep the action fast-paced and fun for everyone involved!

The gameplay and game modes we offer will depend on the size of the mobile arena we create for your event. You can choose between a small or large arena, depending on your group size and the level of intensity you want.

• Smaller Arena: A smaller arena creates a more intense, fast-paced experience. With players and inflatables packed into a tight space, the game becomes a true test of speed and accuracy. Arrows fly back and forth, and there’s less room to hide—making it feel like a combat-style archery game. This type of setup is perfect for competitive players who enjoy high-energy games, similar to sports like paintball or airsoft.

• Larger Arena: A larger arena offers a more relaxed pace, resembling a stress-free version of dodgeball. In this setting, players have more space to move, and catching arrows becomes just as important as hitting opponents. This is a great option for those looking to have fun with friends or practice their archery skills in a more laid-back environment. It’s ideal for casual play and for those who prefer less intensity during their Archery Tag experience.

Safety is our top priority during Archery Tag. While the rules may vary depending on the specific game being played, here are the general safety protocols to follow:

1. Face Masks: A face mask (provided by us) must be worn at all times during gameplay to ensure your safety.

2. Arrow Safety: Arrows can be shot at maximum force but only at an opponent’s front profile. Shots made from behind will not count.

3. Arrow Collection: When running to the center to grab arrows, players must forfeit the arrow to the first player who touches it. No tug-of-war with arrows!

4. No Throwing Arrows: Players are not allowed to throw arrows. Arrows are meant to be shot from the bow only.

These simple rules ensure everyone has a fun, safe, and exciting experience while playing Archery Tag.

WHAT ARE SOME TIPS FOR ARCHERY TAG?

Here are some helpful tips to improve your Archery Tag skills:

How to Place an Arrow on the Bow:

• Position the arrow: Place the arrow on the rest-piece of the bow.

• Clip the arrow: Attach the back of the arrow to the bowstring and form a 90-degree angle with the arrow while it’s resting on the bow.

How to Fire an Arrow:

• Pull the string: When drawing the bowstring, ensure your pulling hand is at cheek height.

• Maintain distance: Keep about 3 inches between your hand and cheek for optimal release.

• Flare your elbows: Make sure your elbows flare out to allow for a smooth, comfortable draw.

How to Run and Fire Simultaneously:

• Keep the arrow steady: While running, place your index finger of the hand holding the bow over the tip of the arrow to keep it steady.

• Release at the right time: Hold the arrow in place until you’re ready to fire, then release at the last second for a clean shot.

By practicing these tips, you’ll improve your accuracy, speed, and overall gameplay!

We keep Archery Tag exciting and engaging by offering a variety of combat archery games, each with its own unique rules and objectives. Here are some of the games you’ll experience:

1. Medic

• Each team has a medic who can revive tagged players.

• The game ends when one team successfully tags the opponent’s medic.

2. Team Deathmatch

• Players have unlimited lives and are divided into two teams.

• Teams aim to tag the opposing team’s players until they reach 10 or 20 tags.

3. Hunger Games

• All the arrows are placed in the middle of the arena.

• Players must fend for themselves, using whatever arrows and equipment are available.

4. Minefield

• Players are divided into two teams.

• If tagged, a player becomes a mine and must stand still, tagging nearby opponents to turn them into mines.

• Mines can return to the game by catching an arrow mid-air.

• The game ends with one team standing.

5. V.I.P

• Each team has a Very Important Person (VIP) they must protect.

• Players can revive by resting for 15 seconds after being tagged.

• The game ends when a team tags the opponent’s VIP.

6. Dodgeball

• Teams start on opposite sides.

• Tagged players must move to the opposite side, collect arrows, and attempt to strike out opponents.

7. Capture the Flag

• A classic game of capture the flag, but with a bow and arrow twist!
